The Baby Evacuation Trolley has been specifically designed to offer a practical, reliable, and professional solution for safely evacuating babies during an emergency. It enables two members of staff to evacuate up to six babies securely, eliminating the need for additional personnel from other areas of the nursery.

The main compartment is thoughtfully divided into three sections, allowing toddlers who can stand to be placed alongside newborns lying down, ensuring all children are safely and appropriately accommodated. Once outside, the trolley provides a clean, secure, and comfortable environment for the babies while the situation is managed.

A dedicated pocket is included for storing the child register, allowing the trolley to function as the primary muster point once staff and children are outside. Developed in collaboration with Nottinghamshire Fire Service, the trolley features a durable steel frame and heavy-duty castors for strength and ease of movement, along with brakes at both ends for enhanced stability.

The interior is constructed with wipe-clean fabrics for hygiene and ease of maintenance. For convenience, the trolley can be folded flat and secured against a wall using the included Velcro straps, making it easy to store within the baby room and instantly accessible when needed.

Best-practice emergency protocols require a one-time evacuation with no re-entry into the building. Given the standard supervision ratio of 1:3 in baby rooms, this often requires pulling in staff from other rooms—something the Baby Evacuation Trolley helps to avoid. Furthermore, once outside, it eliminates the issue of where to safely and comfortably place the babies.
