Wooden Jewel Dice - Pk6

Smooth, solid beechwood dice cubes with gems to represent the dots. Activities to support different areas of learning can combine tickit products or other resources, e.g -

Roll and Build = Jewel Dice + Wooden Building Gem Blocks.
Roll a die to determine how many blocks to add to a tower. The game ends when the tower collapses, followed by counting the fallen blocks

Action Dice = Jewel Dice + Wooden Story Tiles.
Create a chart with action tiles corresponding to the number of dots (e.g., "pretend to ride a BIKE," "move like a SPIDER", "say a funny phrase about a UNICORN") and roll one or more dice to combine movement with counting or story-telling

The Picnic Game = Jewel Dice + plastic plates or teddies.
Children roll a die and count out that exact number of teddies or plates for a "picnic," which develops one-to-one correspondence

Turn-Taking = Jewel Dice + Sand Timers
Invent simple timed games where children must wait for their "roll" to help develop patience and cooperative play skills

The colours match the tickit Wooden Jewel Dominoes which can be used alongside the dice for extended matching or counting activities
